Lila is one of those girls who believes that the eyes are a window to the soul. Hers happen to be baby blue, with that odd azure-eyed trait where green will mix in and mingle depending on what color she's wearing. She's not quite sure which colors set off the balance though, so it will sometimes come to a surprise to her if you mention the dapples of green appear quite striking at the particular moment. She has a porcelain complexion even more highlighted by spun-gold hair, too fine and wavy for her to consider useful in anything other than down or swept into a messy bun or braid.
Not quite a gym rat, Lila was instilled with an athletic mindset and has therefore kept up her slender figure with a fast metabolism, proper (for the most part) diet, and a good amount of exercise. Though not exactly Sporty Spice, she is fit for her size and in proud moments it shows at her bikini-worthy tummy and legs.
Lila adores clothes and shopping, and her wardrobe consists of both trends and classics; she is wise to appreciate the vintage atmosphere surrounding the recent desire to go back to basics. However she also loves her sweatshirts and yoga pants, but chooses to wear those around the house while dressing "properly" for school and going out. She leans towards the bright colors and patterns.

far from here, where the beaches are wide,
The oldest of three, Lila was born to a well-off family in a cozy little neighborhood. She was raised as an extremely sheltered child, whose spare time was consumed with math tutors to help her advance and public television-- what was MTV? Her parents, though not unfair, wanted to raise her to be their innocent little girl forever, and Lila never really resented them for it. She rather enjoyed being academically successful and saw the connection to her 4.0 and her parents' smiling faces. That silent sense of "if you fail, we will be disappointed" drove Lila to accept her responsibility to be good at everything, thus explaining her mild OCD.
Lila never quite had a social life outside of school. She was too busy taking tennis lessons, voice lessons, dance lessons, etcetera. Though she was not the most popular girl, Lila always considered herself to be outgoing, and her high GPA and mass amounts of extracurriculars drew her to groups much like herself, so the school hierarchy never came across to her as something worth striving to be the best of, unlike everything else she did.
When the twins were born, Lila assumed that it was her responsibility to care for them as much as her mother. However she became overwhelmed and after having failed a test because she stayed up all night trying to keep the twins quiet in order for her mother to get some rest, was sent to therapy for her compulsive need to do everything well.
When she began high school however, Lila learned to organize her own schedule and calmed down quite a bit. She joined the debate team and the theatre club, and managed to keep her spot at the top of her class while getting 7 hours of sleep a night and spending a little more time just relaxing.

just leave me your wake to remember you by,
Lila is sheltered and good-natured. She believes that everyone she meets is a truly good person, and allows herself to trust people far too easily. Optimistic and stubborn, her work ethic is 'get it done, get it done right,' and her obsessive-compulsive, perfectionist self will often take fault for what others should be blamed. She believes in true love, song lyrics, and shooting stars and will be the first person to ask if you're alright, because you look a little stressed, and do you want to talk about it?
Lila is a big believer in karma and is quite a pacifist, however she loves getting into verbal arguments and works well under pressure. Sometimes she catches herself sassing people with sarcasm and wit, but she tries not to say it out loud because it could come off as insulting and rude. Though she seems to be always effervescent, it really doesn't take much to set Lila off. She gets stressed out very easily, especially if she is approached with something immoral or illegal. Her fear of authority figures and tarnishing her gilded reputation puts her in a fix, and she can't stand to consider cheating or trespassing as a method of doing something.
She is passionate about theatre and the arts, and is constantly singing quietly under her breath. When it comes to boys, Lila will fall for anyone who gives her a kind smile and holds the door or something silly like that. Chivalry is a definite knee-melter for her, but so are musicians, bad boys, goofy grins, and charming words. She falls far too quickly and therefore tends to push people away when something starts to get serious, in a desperate attempt to save herself any anguish for future heartbreak she knows is eminent. Her fear of commitment is a definite issue, and though she will spill her life story (however uninteresting), has an iron wall that is rapidly brought up at the slightest hint of the word 'relationship.'
Lila is good friends with Greg Dalton, and this is complicated. She sees him as this amazing person who is strictly in the friend zone, and yet she has to contain herself from taking everything he says and analyzing it for hidden meaning. She knows he's dating Claire, who for reasons only the rest of the world can see, does not seem to like Lila's bubbly attitude and connection to Greg. Lila knows, however, that Greg is hands-off. She brings up Claire into conversation for her own sake, and thinks that Greg has a great relationship with her, that is until he tells Lila about the things that drive him crazy-- Lila tries not to enjoy those conversations too much.
She truly believes that Greg deserves to be with someone better than herself, and with this little inferiority complex of hers, thinks that he will maintain his romantic interest in Claire. The thought of Greg actually returning her affection is so beyond her that she would say she has never actually considered it an option. And yet, that would be a complete lie.

if you'll be my boat, I'll be your sea,
Hi, I'm Lila and I've been around this world 17 times. I play Lila Williams and I found out about this site from a proboard ad. I've been in this business for four years. If you need to contact me, please do it through PM. Oh, and by the way, brains are delicious
depth of pure blue to probe curiosity,
Lila couldn't sleep. She knew she had to, knew she needed at least 7 hours or else she'd be entirely too groggy to focus on the Western Literature paper she had scheduled to write tomorrow. But the clock blinked 3:09, and the 7 hour mark was now futile.
Lila exhaled loudly and flipped her pillow over, hoping that the cool cotton against her cheek would lull her to sleep successfully. But her brain would not shut off. A thousand million things bounced around her mind. To do lists, song lyrics, that really cute pink shirt in the catalogue, go to sleep go to sleep go to sleep!
With another frustrated sigh Lila switched to plan Whatever Letter Was Next, and threw back her comforter. Slipping a hooding over her head, she padded quietly down the stairs, avoiding the squeaky spots that were known only to those who'd snuck out before. Lila considered this the only exception to what could be considered deviant. She slid open the glass porch door and closed it behind her in a fluid motion.
Her feet hit dew-dripped grass and she followed the footpath to the swing set waiting expectantly, silver chains glinting in low moonlight. Waxing crescent, to be precise. Astronomy test Thursday.
No, shut up.
Stop thinking.
Lila banned all things academic from her silent thoughts, eyes focusing in the darkness. She perched herself on the swing and kicked off, cool night air rushing past her, then still in the to-and-fro motion of her pendulum world.
She reached the peak of the swings capacity, chain straining against its bolt to continue up up up, and slowly rocked herself back down to earth, gravity tugging at her body as if to remind her yes, you do belong here. Something is keeping you here. Stay.
In the same practiced silence, Lila returned into her home, kicking off the damp sandals and sliding back under her covers, skin cooled by the breeze, flaxen hair a bit more tussled than before.
And within minutes, she sunk into sleep.
