YOU SAY WE'RE BOTH LITTLE PEOPLE AND YOU LIKE IT THAT WAY,
YOU SAY WE'RE BOTH LITTLE PEOPLE AND YOU LIKE IT THAT WAY,
NAME: Nathan Luca O'Shea
NICKNAME: Nate
AGE: 15... and a half.
GENDER: Male
SEXUALITY: Gay
BIRTHDATE: August 12, 1994
GROUP: Sophomores
SCHOOL: Lawrence Collegiate
GRADE: Sophomore
BUT IN TIME I'M GONNA PUT THIS BODY TO SHAME,
Nathan's face can be very expressive. You can read exactly what he's thinking based just on the way the lines of his face contour themselves. He's about 5'7 and 142 lbs., and is not exactly in love with his height, wishing he could be a bit taller. However, he is very muscular, six pack and all, a feature he definitely appreciates. His hair is a dirty blond color, though to some it can look brown, and is cropped short. Nate sports a crooked smile and eyebrows that are more often than not arched at what someone has said. He would say that, overall, he's a pretty decent looking guy, but not a ravingly gorgeous sex beast. His style is not too extreme either. If anything, it's a bit preppy, a typical outfit for him being either a t-shirt or polo shirt, jeans, and sneakers or flip flops.
BODY TYPE: Very athletic. While he doesn't like organized sports involving a ball very much, he runs a lot and works out regularly. ... He's kind of obsessed with it.
HAIR: Straight dirty blonde to brown hair, which Nate typically keeps very short.
EYES: A dark blue color, which can sometimes look brown in certain lights.
HEIGHT: 5'7
WEIGHT: 142 lbs.
TATTOOS/PIERCINGS: None. He hates the idea of tattoos, and though he may get a piercing at some point, he doesn't have any yet.
DISTINGUISHING FEATURES: A scar running down his arm from when he fell walking his dog, who proceeded to drag him down the street.
PLAY-BY: Brando Eaton
WEAR A SUIT LIKE MY OLD MAN,
Nathan's parents met at his grandmother's restaurant. His father, Adam, was attending school in Italy, as he had always been interested in the culture despite his Irish heritage. One day, he stopped in to grab a bite to eat. The 'pretty waitress', as he knew her then, turned out to be Nathan's mother, Claudia, who was working in her family's restaurant to make a little extra money. Accidentally, she spilled soda all over him, and after she apologized, the two began talking. Over the next month, he continued to drop by the restaurant nearly every day, and eventually asked Claudia out. After a year of dating, the day after Adam graduated, he proposed to Claudia, and the two were married eight months later.
3 years later, in 1990, Claudia found herself pregnant with their first child, and nine months after, their first child, Rylan James, was born. At that point, the family had outgrown the home they were living in, and moved to New Jersey. The couple raised Rylan with many ups and downs, as he was a troublesome child, but, ready or not, about four years later, none other than Nathan himself was brought into the world. Rylan and Nathan didn't exactly get along in these early years - Rylan, being a bit on the, uh, rowdy side, often did some not so pleasant things to his brother. Let's just say that Nathan's early childhood involved a lot of kicking, pinching, screaming, and more wedgies than you can count.
With all the boys in the house, though, Claudia had still not gotten the baby girl she wanted. When, finally, after months of trying, she became pregnant again, she got more than she bargained for: twin girls, Andrea Isabel and Natalia Marie. The girls took up very different interests, Andrea loving literature and writing, and Natalia dancing. Rylan, just like he had with Nathan, did not treat his sisters very well, but Nathan got along much better with them than with his brother. The girls were a lot of fun, for him, and since they looked up to him so much, they made him feel, well, awesome. The kids were raised mostly to know their Italian side, with Andrea and Rylan being very good speakers. Natalia and Nate, however, have a little bit to learn still.
It was at 14 - kind of early - that Nathan came out to his parents. He had come to terms with being gay the year before, but hadn't figured out how he could tell them. Not to mention, of course, he was worried about what they would think. Finally, one day, over dinner, he just couldn't hold it in anymore. He told them, without warning, and to his relief, they were very accepting. His friends, for the most part, were as well, and Nathan still feels very lucky for that.
As for settling in at his new school, that was another story. Of course, he hadn't wanted to move. How was he supposed to know what the people there were like? Ultimately, though, over the last couple of months, he managed, and the experience didn't end up being quite as bad as he thought it would've. Now that Nathan has adjusted, he's beginning to think he'll like it here in Preston Heights... of course, he hasn't seen anything yet.

PACK UP ALL MY THINGS AND GET MY ASS OUT OF TOWN,
Most of the time, Nate is a pretty good judge of character. He can usually tell when someone is full of it, and isn't afraid to call them out on it. He's cautious and doesn't really give people a lot of credit, and lives by the rule of "no expectations, no disappointments." He's an honest guy, and hates a liar. Sometimes, though, he can be a little too honest, and ends up hurting people. He usually doesn't realize what he's doing, though, and so an apology from him is rare.
He loves having lighthearted fun, and it really bothers him when someone can't take a joke. Nate will fool around with just about anyone. He's always cracking jokes and poking fun at his friends, but, again, it's hard for him to notice when he's hurt someone. However, Nate hates when other people bother or offend his friends, and can get very protective of them. He will defend his friends even if he doesn't agree with them... partially because he's a loyal friend, and then also because, even though he may be laid back when he's calm, anger him and you really do anger him.
Nathan's not a very serious person, though. He's relaxed most of the time, never really seeing why everyone seems to be in such a rush everywhere. He also doesn't feel the need to be so focused on every step of his education, and gets by with pretty much minimal effort. He's a bit immature in that sense, seeing as he has convinced himself that it's okay, as long as he doesn't flunk. Nate has potential, he just doesn't see it or care to even tap into it.
While Nate does like to have fun, and he's not shy at all, he doesn't talk all that much. That is, he does talk, but he doesn't feel the need to run his mouth all the time. He only speaks when he has something worth saying or else he feels like he's wasting his time. He can't stand it when someone just won't shut up and let other people talk. As a result, he's a good listener, and his friends tend to go to him when they have a problem with something. Seeing that he usually can tell what type of person someone is, he's decent with giving advice, too, which doesn't hurt.
