Sin City...Glitter Gulch...Las Vegas...
A town carved out the edge of a desert in equal
part by dreamers and criminals. Every year the
bright lights beckon flocks of tourists looking to
enjoy a little bit of the old Mafia glow that still
lingers around the edges of the Strip. Beneath
the Rat Pack and one armed bandits...behind the
presentable face shown to the visitors looking for
a little illusion is a town just as dirty as it was in the
early years. A deadly beauty ready to chew you up
and spit you out if you're not strong enough to handle
the dark side behind the glitter. Walk down Freemont
Street or Las Vegas Boulevard and you'll see any
number of people who have been broken by Lady
Luck's fickle attentions-from the wino on the corner
to the hooker trying to get enough for her next fix.
For so many of the residents of Sin City crime is a way
of life-from the 1% Motorcycle club out in Henderson
to the street gangs struggling to stay alive and back
to the organized Eastern crime groups from the casinos
and Chinatown. All of them facing down the growing
power of the southern Cartel getting their fingers into
more and more pies and killing anyone in their way.
Behind the eight ball the police try to keep law and order
intact in the face of growing unrest always a step or two
behind the criminals with more money and resources
than LVPD could ever imagine having. All while the citizens
just try not to get caught up in the cross fire while going
about their day to day lives.
Dreams are bought and sold dirt cheap in a desert
landscape illuminated by Tarnished Neon...
