WEAR A SUIT LIKE MY OLD MAN,
Megan was born in Spring Valley, Nevada along with her twin sister Morgan. The two girls, growing up, were nearly identical in both looks and personality. They did everything together, from dressing up to playing outside. It was early on that they both developed a passion for sports, something that they both took well to. Their parents were always around, as their father owned his own online business that was able to support their family well enough. Really, it was just an average family with little drama.
When Megan started middle school, things started to change. The middle school she attended was close to the Las Vegas border and there was a lot more trouble in the area. For the most part, she was able to stay out of it, but the city was a light to her, it was somewhere she wanted to be. Infrequently, her family went through the city for the weekend, just so their daughters could get the experience of such an iconic town.
Upon entering high school, Megan's studies took a turn for the worse. She got caught up in a rough crowd and started to act out more. Her twin, Morgan, was the complete opposite. Megan was the "bad twin", the rebel and Morgan was the perfect little angel of the family. Both girls were still heavily involved in sports and were competing against each other for the position of co-captain on the team. Morgan ended up edging Megan out, mainly due to the fact that she was able to balance sports and studies better. Megan took it pretty hard, but was able to get past it for the most part. Morgan on the other hand started to be more pompous about it and generally tried to put Megan down.
By Junior year, Megan had all but given up on sports and was involved with a group that spent most of their weekends off partying in Vegas. As far as her parents knew, she was off studying with a group of friends. It didn't take long for Morgan to figure out what was really going on and she didn't hesitate to tell her parents. Morgan told them, mostly because she was genuinely worried about her sister, but Megan took it personal. Her parents were furious with her and they made the decision to move away, hoping to get Megan into a better situation.
A family friend had just started their son at Preston Heights Academy and it seemed like the perfect place to send the twins. Megan, to get away from the party scene and Morgan to look after her sister. In an effort to get her parents off her back, Megan got back into sports for senior year and made the position of Captain for the soccer team. She also joined the tennis team, just to take up some extra time. However, she still hasn't picked up her academics and behind her families back is just as much of a party girl.
HOMETOWN: Spring Valley, Nevada.
MOTHER: Jillian, 39, none.
FATHER: Greggory, 45, Business Owner.
SIBLING(S): Morgan, 17, Student.
PETS: None.
PACK UP ALL MY THINGS AND GET MY ASS OUT OF TOWN,
Megan has been through a lot with her parents and has always bounced back. She can handle a lot of pressure and still manages to remain as happy as can be. She's one tough girl when she needs to be and doesn't take crap from anyone. She takes everything in stride and adapts to whatever is thrown at her.
Megan loves people. It's just in her nature to want to be a part of everything that's going on. She's generally quite friendly when it comes to other people and genuinely enjoys being around crowds. She has no problem when it comes to meeting new people and takes initiative when someone needs to break the ice. She hates when she isn't a part of things and feels the need to be at the center of everything.
It doesn't take much for someone to bring out Megan's flirtatious side. She is naturally charming and has no trouble with taking it a step farther. She's not slutty necessarily, but she gets around. She finds it hard not to flirt with people she's around and occasionally it can cause some troubles, especially when her target is taken.
Megan is always out there trying new things. She has little fears and goes full out with anything that she does. Most of the time, her recklessness leads her into trouble, but she never stops. She's very open to trying everything once and is generally oblivious to the typical 'danger signs' that most people would pick up on. She's attracted to the danger that the more intelligent people would shy away from.
It's not uncommon for Megan to be completely full of herself. She tries to tone it down, but she still has a haughty air around her. She knows that she's great at everything she does and she doesn't have a problem telling you that. In her mind, she's been through some tough situations and has always come back better than before, so nothing can bring her down.
One of the more negative aspects of Megan's personality is how unstable she can be. Some might consider her merely unpredictable, but she can snap at a moments notice. She's easily irritated by the smallest of things and occasionally she'll go off on people for seemingly no reason. She takes offense at the slightest of things and can be unforgiving when it comes to others. Megan also finds it hard to settle down into one set thing, so she is always changing things up on a whim.
Although Megan has no problem making friends, it is often hard for her to keep them. She's had trust issues for most of her life and finds it difficult to really confide in anyone. Most of her friendships are rather superficial because of this and revolve around just having fun. She rarely brings her emotions into things, as she is afraid of getting hurt. She's also afraid of hurting others, she hates that she is such a disappointment to her parents and doesn't want to be the same for anyone else.
It doesn't take much to get Megan to fight back and she has no problem with getting aggressive. Whether it be a physical or verbal fight, she's always at the ready. She doesn't particularly like to get into arguments, but when she does she won't back down. Megan is used to having to defend herself when people are verbally attacking her and switches straight into defense mode.
For the few people that can break down Megan's barriers and get to know who she really is, Megan would do anything for them. It's a rare occurrence that people try, or even realize that there's more to her than just the fun-loving party girl, but she recognizes those that do. She tends to avoid getting close enough to people that do want to get to know her, but sometimes she can't help herself. Everyone needs someone that they can depend on, even Megan.
LIKES: Parties, drinking, beaches, Nevada, running, socializing, sex, boys, girls.
DISLIKES: Working, authority figures, her twin, clingy people, Ontario, small-towns.
FEARS: Never being able to succeed in life.
DREAMS: To become a pro soccer player, but she'd settle for pro tennis.

WHETHER YOU LIKE THIS TOWN OR NOT,
Megan sighed, not quite looking forward to the conversation that would probably follow. She wanted to try to prolong it, but knowing Adriana that would be an impossible task. Although most people found it difficult to read what Megan was thinking most of the time, Ade didn't. To her, Megan's face was an open book and she could probably already tell that something was wrong. But, Megan didn't want to disappoint her. Before Adriana had left school, she'd made Megan promise that she would do her best to continue doing well in school and as far as Ade knew, she had been doing just that.
In the letters Megan had sent her, she'd glossed over the fact that she had been less into school and more into parties. Really, she had adjusted the facts a bit to make it seem like she was doing excellently in her classes. Now, to have to tell her that it was pretty much the exact opposite, Megan was rather scared. Not so much about Adriana being angry, but of her being disappointed with Megan. Megan knew that she disappointed many people and she had come to terms with most of that, but to have Adriana disappointed with her would be much worse than the others. Megan had looked up to Adriana and having her upset was awful.
"Can't I just be here visiting my new favorite professor? Megan asked, her voice full of fake innocence. Of course, Ade already was jumping into concerned mode. Megan certainly appreciated having somewhere to go for help, but she still had difficulties asking for that help. Megan had a strong sense of pride and hated not being able to handle things on her own. She knew that avoiding what she had really come here for wouldn't last much longer, so she was mentally preparing herself for the lectures that would come shortly. Megan hated being lectured, but she was sure that Adriana would find it necessary. After all, Megan had been slacking off and then lied about it to Ade.
Megan tried to keep a smile on her face, hoping that perhaps she could forget about asking for help. It could wait until another time, right? She wasn't completely failing all her classes yet. Just a few of them. At this realization, Megan's smile faltered. She couldn't just keep avoiding this, she needed to take care of her problems and this was probably the only way to do it. "Okay, so maybe not exactly the reason for coming up here. I mean, of course I'm happy to see you and everything, but well, you know... Uhm, maybe I'm a little bit behind in classes?" Megan was trying her best to make it sound a lot less serious than it really was, but it was pretty clear that it wasn't just a random assignment.
Having gotten the difficult part of telling Adriana about her trouble, Megan felt infinitely better. She knew that with Ade's help, things would start to turn to her favor. She just needed someone to help push her in the right direction, a motivator to make her want to do well. If Megan didn't have a reason to try, than she wouldn't bother. She did what she wanted to, not what she was required to do and generally, school fell under the required category.
