Skye stands 5'5 in her bare feet, and is comfortable with her height. She's slim and petite, but she's anything but fragile. She plays soccer and rugby, and she's quite wiry and strong. Skye is fairly athletic, and she loves sports, so her muscles are toned from many years of running, kicking, and tackling. Despite being one of the sporty girls, Skye is very pretty. She has full lips and clear skin, and she looks very innocent. Her hair is brown, and quite wavy in its natural state, although Skye does like straightening or curling it if she has time. Usually, the prefers to keep her bangs straight and let the rest do whatever it wants. She wears very little make-up, preferring to wear just a coat of mascara, some black eyeliner along her top waterline, and some light eyeshadow.

WEAR A SUIT LIKE MY OLD MAN,
The oldest of two daughters, Skye Abigail Kimball was born in Montreal to a middle class family. She lived in blissful happiness for the next two years until her mother, Claire, became pregnant again. At two years old, Skye was too young to really understand what was happening, but she did know that she was no longer the center of attention all the time, and that there was something wrong with her mother that made her happy and sad at the same time. Once her mother left for the hospital, Skye was alone a lot with a babysitter and her father was rarely around. This was a confusing time for her because she was two and a half, just beginning to notice things. However, this confusion ended a few weeks later when her parents brought home a tiny baby girl. At first, Skye was pretty jealous of this tiny, crying newcomer. After all, you couldn't play with a baby and all her sister did was cry, poop, eat, an spit up. Skye was not too impressed. She did what most older children did to younger siblings: she teased them. She would hide Lauren's toys, make her scream, and then replace them. She would be sitting innocently somewhere else by the time her parents arrived. However, after being caught a few times and punished, she settled down and resigned herself to the fact that, like it or not, Lauren was here to stay. While Skye didn't exactly like her sister, she tolerated her, but just barely.
When Skye started school, she was the brainiac of the crew. She was a little bit lonely because her smarts intimidated the others, but she was used to that, and went on with her life. When her sister started school a few years later, Skye took it upon herself to help her out and protect her as well as she could. It was in grade three that Skye first began to play soccer. She began one summer and really liked it, so by grade six she was the youngest member of the junior high team. Her sister was not as athletically inclined and didn't have as much of Skye's competitive streak, so while she followed in her older sister's footsteps, she didn't take it as far.
At the end of Skye's grade six year, her parents packed up and moved them all the way across the country to a small town in Saskatchewan. Again, Skye was not too impressed because she loved Montreal and didn't want to leave. However, she resigned herself to the move and made new friends at her junior high. By this point, Skye was attending a private all-girls school. She hated it, but the girls accepted her into their small group. She didn't mind the uniform, but she couldn't respect the girls in the grades above her and their ways of throwing themselves at guys. Continuing on with sports, Skye learned to play rugby and to play with the boys. With her innocent looks, most underestimated her abilities, but it only took one tackle and a cleat to the face before people took her more seriously. She flourished from then on, losing her geeky ways and dumbing herself down ever-so-slightly.
Things changed halfway through grade eight when her aunt got really sick and her mother flew back to Montreal to take care of her. With her dad working hard in an office all day, Skye needed to step up to the role of mother. She kept Lauren on track, did her own homework, and got both her and her sister back and forth from soccer practices and musicals and ballet recitals. It was a long, gruelling six months before her aunt recovered enough for her mother to return. By this point, Skye was well-established in her responsibilities and felt it hard to let them go. She was glad to see her mother, but she'd matured enough that they no longer shared the bond they used to. Skye was also a vegetarian by this point, which frustrated her mother because she felt that she wasn't taking care of herself. However, Skye was very healthy. She was strong and slim, in good shape physically and mentally, and at the top of her class. She played on her school's soccer team and was trying to start up a rugby team. Underneath the crisp white blouse and pleated skirt and knee socks, there was a lot of pent-up aggression. Life continued in the small town, and Skye finished junior high. It was then her parents broke the news: they were moving to New Zealand, and sending her to boarding school. They'd don their research and selected Preston Heights Academy. Skye was horrified, especially because Lauren was too young but would be joining her next year.
In September, Skye packed her bags and prepared to move to school. She was nervous, never having been separated from her parents for any length of time before, but she was also secretly excited. She moved into MacLeod Hall with two other roommates, and prepared to embark on the trip of her life.
HOMETOWN: Montreal, Canada

PACK UP ALL MY THINGS AND GET MY ASS OUT OF TOWN,
Despite looking innocent and sweet, Skye is hardly as she looks. She is an insanely competitive girl. She plays two main sports: soccer and rugby. And she plays them hard. She's not afraid of pain and injury and more than she's afraid of being stepped on or scratched or having her hair pulled. Skye will do a lot to succeed or place first. She's very competitive academically as well. She studies a lot, and stresses big time over exams. Stress brings out her bitchy side. Yes, despite everything, Skye Kimball can be quite the little bitch. She enjoys arguments and doesn't mind telling you off if you're annoying her. She doesn't take shit from anyone and she isn't afraid to let you know it. She's quite prickly at first glance, and prickly even if you've known her a while.
Skye doesn't really care what you think of her. She knows she's pretty and as long as she thinks she looks good, she'll go out in public. She isn't bothered by people talking behind her back for the most part, but if she hears something that isn't true, she will confront you about it. She's the confrontational type. Skye is also brutally honest. If you ask her for an opinion, she's not going to be tactful to avoid hurting your feelings. If you sucked or look crappy, she'll tell you. Is your skirt too short? Yeah, she'll point that out. Sometimes, that honesty comes in handy, but for the most part it makes her look meaner than she is. Not that she's a total sweetie, because she's most definitely not.
To her parents, Skye is pretty nice. She nixes the attitude and is capable of being soft-spoked and sweet. They know what she's really like, though. She's also a very good liar. Skye is able to say almost anything with a straight face. She can talk herself out of a bad situation in five seconds flat, which is one of the reasons, along with her good grades, that she's rarely in trouble. She can give the most ridiculous excuse with a straight face and make it seem utterly true. This skill was honed at a young age, playing pranks on her sister and then honestly denying it. Skye only uses lying as a last resort, because she prefers to stay out of trouble.
LIKES: candy, sports, her sister, warm summer nights, her friends, school, winning
DISLIKES: mushrooms, being really cold, fake girls, the spoiled Preston kids, her sister, being sick with anything, injuries
FEARS: being kidnapped
DREAMS: to graduate high school and become a scientist
