I AM NOT AFRAID TO KEEP ON LIVING
taylor had been having quite a long day. she turned in a ton of job applications, and now she had absolutely positively nothing to do, and no one to do nothing with. she decided today would be a great day for a walk to the park. it was seventy nine degrees out, and she had just showered. tay pulled her window open and looked outside her apartment window at the cars rushing by, smiling. it was absolutely gorgeous outside. taylor put on a sun hat, heart shaped glasses, a motley crue tank top, and a pair of denim skinny jeans on. these skinny jeans had spiffy little patterns ironed on all over it, and they were probably one of her favorite pairs. she accessorized her outfit a bit with white combat boots and a knit black, purple and white unbuttoned sweater, followed by a bead necklace with a cross on it. she put a little foundation on and walked out of her apartment door.
she walked outside of the apartment building and closed her eyes, taking in the fresh air. she never got enough fresh air, and she really needed to start getting it more often. taylor lit up a cigarette and smoked it as she began walking towards the park. she would hopefully finish before she got to the park, because she didn't want to throw used cigarettes where kids played. that was probably the most generous she had ever been, but today she was in a pretty good mood, so she didn't have much control over that. typical taylor wouldn't give a fuck whether or not her cigarette butts were all over kids' bare feet.
taylor finished her cigarette quickly, and threw it on the road as she ran across, almost getting hit by a car. luckily, she did make it across the road, and was nearing the park. she ran a bit, feeling like a child again. she stopped running and stood there for a moment, looking down at the grass. she watched her feet trail through the grass away to the swings, where she sat on one of them and began to swing. she went high, and kicked her boots off, so she was barefoot. they went pretty far, and she smiled. she hoped no one was seeing her childish ways. tay didn't care all that much, but still, she decided to stop. she put the swing to a stop to where she was just sitting on it, swaying back and forth slightly with the breeze, and gripped on to the sides of the swing. she pushed off her feet once more, swinging very low. she still was having a great time. it was nice being all alone sometimes.
taylor eventually got bored of swinging, and she hopped off, going to go lay down in the grass. she took out a note pad and pencil, and started to sketch what she saw around her - trees, swings, a play ground, some kids running around it in the distance, grass, squirrels, even the clouds in the sky and the house nearby. her mind was focused on that, but suddenly her mind was clouded by her past. she remembered herself stoned, coming to a park and fucking around with little kids' poor little minds. she probably corrupted them horribly, but she didn't remember much. all the shit she caused and how she tore her household apart with her drugs and her drinking problem. she pressed her lips together, and then wished callie was there with her to talk to her about this. callie was her friend from back in new york. they had been best friends since callie was born. she was a few months younger than taylor, and they got along so well. cal was the one person that taylor could trust with anything and everything. she missed her.
taylor sat up in the grass, trying to clear her mind of missing callie, drugs, and alcohol, and her horrible past. she began to sing quietly, looking down at her nails and picking the chipped nail polish off of them. she sang a few verses from numerous all time low songs, and she was forgetting about what she was thinking about. she got up and started singing loudly. "maybe it's not my weekend, but it's gonna be my year!" she sang as she danced and had a hell of a time. she didn't give a shit who saw it or what they saw. she didn't even really know what the hell she was doing, but she was doing it, and enjoying herself immensely. she laughed, and lay down in the grass.

& I WAKE UP EVERY EVENING WITH A BIG SMILE ON MY FACE ( and it never seems out of place ) There was something he was supposed to be doing at that moment but he couldn’t remember…it was important he did remember that fact. Aiden finished the last of the pixie sticks he had bought and frowned a little bit. Pixie sticks were his favorite kind of candy, and he was happy that despite the fact that he had grown up, that small detail hadn’t changed. He looked over at the clock on the night stand, 2:30. “Shit!” he yelled jumping off him bed; he had promised his friends he would meet them at the park for a pick up game of rugby. He had told them that he would be there by 3:00. He was half way to the door before realizing he couldn’t leave his room looking as he was in his boxers and t-shirt. He knew his friends would be pissed that he was late and he couldn’t blame him, he had said he would be out at 3. He didn’t understand how time could’ve gotten away from him so fast. He sighed, before heading to him closet to pick out something to wear. It took him fifteen minutes to choose what to wear, and another five to put it on. He had decided on him t-shirt, a pair of blue jean.
He was running a comb through his hair when his roommate and his roommate’s girlfriend of the week walked in. , “Hey dude,” he said,“Don’t you have some place to be…like now?” “Yea…I’ll be out in a second,” he called from the bathroom, “I just gotta find my shoes.” He remembered he had kicked them off when he walked in from his calculus class yesterday, but he didn’t know where they went. He checked under him bed but didn’t see them there. He checked the closet, but didn’t see them there either. “Where did you go?” He mumbled standing up and letting out a sigh of frustration, before noticing them by the door. He picked them up and headed out the door. Wait…he was forgetting something. Cell phone. “I’m out I swear,” He said grabbing his cell phone, and keys, and walked out the door.
He was sort of rusty on how to get to the park, having not been since he was a child, but he figured he would find it eventually. He felt that was kind of slack on his part, he had lived here for a good part of his life and yet he still didn’t know where a good portion of the places in the city were, but in his defense he was directionally challenged. He ran around town for a bit, his mind drifting back to the previous night. It had been a wild night if he remembered correctly, lots of drinking going on. He had never been one to get massively hammered. What had happened? He was still slightly hung-over from the night before, and the pitter-patter of his feet against the sidewalk was totally not helping his headache. He slowed his pace down, his mind still on the party last night. Something important had happen, that he wasn’t remembering, and that bothered him a little. ‘Oh well,’ he thought as he continued on his way towards the park he would think about it on a later date.
Aiden arrived at his destination a little before 3:00. “Yes!” he said out loud, and did a little dance to celebrate his victory, earning a few weird looks from the people passing on the street. He looked around, but didn’t see any of his friends around. “Just like them, to always be late.” He groaned. He didn’t even know why he bothered, his friends were always late, and it quite sucked. He sighed, running a hand through his hair, before leaning against the closest tree waiting for his friends to arrive, just people watching.
It had been ten minutes at least, when he noticed something interesting…well more like someone interesting. A girl, around his age, if he had to guess, and she was dancing, dancing and singing that is, and doing a damn good job at it. Aiden was having a massive internal struggle with himself on whether or not he should go talk to this girl. Sure he wanted to talk to her, but he didn’t want to go over than and act like a total idiot. That would be bad. Deciding that the worst she could do would to be to ignore him all together, he walked over to her. At the end of the song, he applauded, clapping his hands together, “Well,” he said smiling, “that’s something you don’t see everyday.”

I AM NOT AFRAID TO KEEP ON LIVING
taylor was laying in the grass, her eyes shut. she opened them once more to the sound of applause, and jumped, sitting up as fat as humanly possible. jesus fucking christ, she thought. just her luck, an attractive guy coming up to her seeing her doing the most retarded things ever. she smiled slightly, and bit her lip, her heart still racing from the surprise. she was not expecting someone to be coming, and then this guy comes along. she bit down harder on her lip, half smiling. well, that's something you don't see every day. how could she respond to that? taylor laughed nervously. "yeah, ahh. i'm bored and really, hyper, i guess you could say." she laughed nervously again and stood up, putting a hand on the nape of her neck.
"i-i'm taylor," she stuttered slightly. she laughed again, and looked him up and down. he was a pretty sexy guy. he had long, dark brown hair and he was a good maybe foot taller than her. a little less than a foot, probably, but he was damn tall. his dark brown eyes were very gorgeous, too. tay decided that she'd just flirt with him for now, because he was cute but she didn't know him well enough yet to have a thing with him.
tay's hat was laying in the grass nearby, and she put her sunglasses on top of her head, so he could see her eyes. she stepped closer to him and touched his arm with her index finger. "you look familiar. do i know you?" she asked, batting her lashes slightly. she was trying to be flirty, and it wasn't working very well today, especially since after what he saw.
after this super awkward experience, taylor didn't know what to do. that was an awful first impression. what would she do? she tried to laugh it off but it didn't work. she had an ache in her stomach for some reason. it wasn't that bad but taylor always wanted to try and fit in and be 'cool.' she failed herself. she bit her lip a bit harder and smiled at the guy.
